Rachel Cooper
Rachel Cooper - Maid of Honour
Hi I’m Rachel, Rebecca’s sister. I am so excited to be standing by Rebecca as she marries Matt. Rebecca has been the best big sister a girl could ask for. She’s supported and inspired me through my life and is one of the most caring and loving people I have ever known. Rebecca and I have been on many adventures together, from travelling the world to doing a year of university together. As I got to know Matt, I have always felt like he has been part of our family, especially as he was able to make it through a night at Laverys with me. I hope that my soon to be brother in law loves growing old with Rebecca as much I have loved growing up with her.

Adam Etherington - Best Man
Hello, I’m Adam. Matt and I have known each other now for 11 years and have many stories to tell the tale. We met at the start of university, with Matt leaning out of a student house window selling the empty rooms to people off the street. In comparison to others walking the streets of Plymouth, Matt’s lucky I was the one that took him up on his offer. Matt and I immediately became close friends and, although he now lives on the other side of the world, we have never lost contact. We do our best to meet as much as possible, even if it took a meet in the middle holiday to (pre-war) Ukraine. Unfortunately, with 4000 miles between us I’m yet to meet Rebecca in person, I’m hoping that between her getting to the front of the church and the I do’s Matt will have 30 seconds to introduce us properly. Even still based of Matt’s description of her to me as ‘being good craic’ I’m certain they are perfect for each other, and I’m honoured to be part of their celebrations.
Rebecca Kealey
Rebecca Kealey - Maid of Honour
Hello, I’m Rebecca! Coop and I first met each other in 2014 when we started University however, it wasn’t until a few years after this when we moved to Liverpool together, our friendship became everything. We became inseparable. Discovering just how close we actually lived in Belfast before embarking on adventures that has taken us all the way to Doha. We have made unforgettable memories throughout the years and I am so lucky to have such a beautiful best friend. I am grateful to be by her side as she marries the love of her life 🫶🏼

I met Matt a few years ago on a drunken night out in the Shamrock. We quickly discovered we share a sense of humour. As time went on we started to spend more and more time together, we started attending the same brunches and nights out which is where our friendship grew. Even though it’s been a relatively short time that we have known each other, we’ve already made some good memories. Such as our holiday to Jordan and only managing to watch the first 20 mins of the Super Bowl, after we started pre drinking far too early. To be asked to be one of the groomsman was unexpected but something I will cherish for a long time. Can’t wait to see two people I care so much about get married and honoured to be part of their big day.

I met Matt for the first time at a bar when I was being introduced as Jon's girlfriend. But that's enough about Matt...I vividly remember the day Matt brought Rebecca along to breakfast before a boat party; it was then that I knew their relationship was something special and long-lasting. Rebecca and I quickly bonded, spending countless hours together while the boys were engrossed in their Dungeons & Dragons games. Our spontaneous trips to Bath and Body Works, numerous brunches, boat parties, and even a holiday together could fill a storybook. From Rebecca being a bridesmaid at my wedding to now being the bride herself, what a beautiful journey it has been. I am so happy that Rebecca and Matt found each other, and I am overjoyed to be by her side as she marries Matt!

Jon Walker - Groomsman
Hi I am Jon, I met Matt at rugby training, the rugby training didn’t last for long but me and Matt carried on with a variety of adventures. Such as the infamous Georgia trip, which we aren’t allowed to go into full details about. Our adventures carried on in a more sensible manner once Matt met Rebecca, however they didn’t stop. Our last brunch together in Doha ended with us throwing cakes off the 40th floor, while egging on a random person to join us.

I first met Rebecca almost 10 years ago when we did Camp America together, and we bonded over the fact that 90% of the other people there couldn’t understand our accents. We’ve been across the world together ever since, from Chicago, to Doha, to Australia, and back home to Belfast. No matter how far away we are from each other, we can always pick back up like we last saw each other the day before. I’m so glad she’s met Matt, and I’m so excited to be part of their big day! Love you both ❤️❤️

Me and Matt met through rugby but had our first real bonding session on a weekend away in Lebanon. Between sharing a room, raving in a warehouse and paying 5 trillion Lebanese pounds for a McDonalds (I still don’t know if this was a bargain or a rip off) we forged a friendship that has spanned the last two years in Doha. Oftentimes we live vicariously through our memories of reprobatic behaviour whilst studying at university, reminiscing back to a time with less responsibility and more freedom. Now we are both responsible adults and moving into a new phase in our lives. Since moving to Doha, I have gotten married and had my first child, Carter. Matt is soon to join me in this realm of holy matrimony, and I cannot think of a better person for him to commit himself to. Matt and Rebecca are a wonderful couple and I am honoured to have been asked to play such an important role in their special day.
Nicky Lincoln
Nicky Lincoln - Bridesmaid
Meet Nicky, the youngest of three and Matthew’s sister. She’s beyond excited for Matthew and Rebecca’s wedding, not just because she’s gaining another sister, but also because she gets to dress like a princess (which she definitely is!). You’ll spot her by her huge smile, dancing up a storm, and charming all the boys. She’ll be beaming with pride as her big brother says “I do” to the love of his life—our wonderful, strong, and caring daughter-to-be, who has been amazing with Nicky from the very start. We’re so thrilled to see our family grow!
Terry Hutchings
Terry Hutchings - Groomsman
I first met Matt at Ace School, and we hit it off right away. One of our early memories involved chasing down a particularly challenging student together, which quickly brought us closer. Over time, we bonded over our shared geeky interests and always had great conversations. Even when Matt is back in the UK, he always makes the effort to catch up, and that’s when I first met Rebecca. Matt had already shared how much she meant to him, and when we finally met, I could see why—she was warm, friendly, and approachable. When Matt told me he had proposed, I couldn’t have been happier for him. I wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness!
Nora Stylianou
Nora Stylianou - Flower Girl
Hi I’m Nora and I will be 1 year old by the wedding. I am excited to be the flower girl for my Auntie and Uncle’s wedding. I am very excited to wear a pretty dress, dance all day long and steal the limelight!

Hi I'm Arlo, I'm 1 years old and going to be a page boy at my Uncle's and Auntie's wedding. I love tractors, rugby and food. I can't wait to visit Ireland for the first time, give lots of smiles and have lots of attention!
Jasmine Craigie
Jasmine Craigie - Usher
Hi, I’m Jasmine. I first met Matt at the airport in Qatar when we both moved here to teach in 2020. From the very beginning, he's been an incredible friend and support while we've been living so far from family. Not long after Matt met Rebecca, I was introduced to her, and it was immediately clear they were perfect for each other. Over the time I’ve known them, we’ve shared amazing times and holidays together, creating memories I’ll always treasure. It’s been amazing to see them both so happy, and I’m grateful to have gained a wonderful friend in Rebecca too—who will even drive to visit me in Ellesmere Port over the school holidays so we’re not apart for too long. I’m truly honoured to be a part of their special day and celebrate this next chapter in their lives.

Recently described as a kind and approachable individual, I believe I have the skills to make a fantastic usher at Rebecca and Matt’s wedding! I’ve known Matt for most of my life, which is one of the joys of family. Over the past few years, I’ve often threatened to visit him during my time in the RAF, but life always seemed to get in the way. Thankfully, whenever he’s back in our hometown, we make it a point to grab a drink and catch up. Now that the Wedding is happening I am excited to actually see the pair of them in one place.
